Blessed Sacrament School is a premier Catholic Elementary School serving Nursery through Grade 8, in Albany, NY. Founded in 1916, by the Sisters of Mercy. We are a proud participant of the Dioceses of Albany Catholic Schools and accredited by Cognia.

Early Childhood – Nursery and Pre-Kindergarten 

Must be 3, by October 31st to enter Nursery School.

Must be 4, by December 1st to enter Pre-K.

Our enriching Early Childhood education program is designed to meet the cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of each child. We offer full- and part-time options for Nursery and Pre-Kindergarten programs. Full-time teachers and aides are available to your students to ensure their learning success.

Our students participate in Technology, Art, Spanish, Music and Gym classes along with a rigorous academic program.

Nursery school is for 3-year-olds and Pre-K is available for 4-year-olds.

Kindergarten – 4th grade

Must be 5, by December 1st to enter Kindergarten.

Our experienced teachers develop literacy through all of the core subjects — Math, English Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science.  Our teachers follow the New York State Common Core learning standards to ensure your child is receiving the best education possible.

Smartboards, Chromebooks, Tablets, and iPads are available to all teachers and students to enhance your child’s learning.

Students also participate in Spanish, Music, Art, Library, Technology, and Gym classes on a weekly basis.

5th – 8th grade

Beginning in Grade 5, students move from the single classroom setting of the younger grades into a departmentalized structure that features an academic specialist for each area of study. All students receive an email address in 5th grade to allow them access to the full suite of Google tools, including Google Classroom. Advanced Math and Science classes are available to eighth-grade students that are ready for a high school curriculum.

Students also participate in Spanish, Music, Art, Library, Technology, and Gym classes on a weekly basis.
